These terms govern the use of Himigo Leagues and participation in the tournaments we organise.
Who can take part
You must be between 18 and 60 years old and registered on the platform under your real details. Each tournament may add its own requirements — a gender category, for instance — and you will see them on its page before signing up. Only players registered on the platform take the field.
Registration and payment
Signing up reserves your spot. As an individual player, payment opens once you complete your profile and sign the waiver, while the tournament is still taking sign-ups. With a team it also waits for the captain to confirm the season dates. Spots are limited; once they fill, you go on the waiting list. Payment is handled by our payment processor.
The liability waiver
You must accept the tournament's waiver from your panel before paying. It is required and signed once per season: without it you are not cleared to play. That document is what states you take part accepting the risk of a contact sport.
Conduct on the pitch and in the chat
We expect respect towards players, referees and venue staff. Violence, harassment and discrimination are grounds for removal from the tournament without a refund.
Teams and rosters
The captain is responsible for their team's information. Fielding an unregistered player can cost the team the match or its place in the tournament. While no payment has gone through you can change paths: give up your team and enter as an individual player, or the other way round.
Podium credits
Some tournaments award the top places a credit, expressed as a percentage discount, to put towards a later registration. Where one exists, the percentage appears in the tournament's rules. Credits are personal, cannot be exchanged for money, and are lost if the registration that earned them is refunded.
Sporting risk
Taking part in a contact sport carries a risk of injury. You play at your own risk, on the terms of the waiver you sign, and we recommend holding current medical cover.
Changes to the service
We may adjust schedules, venues or formats where necessary for the season to finish. We will tell you about any relevant change.
